Volleyball: Spot the Wahine

Here is the USA Volleyball photo gallery of the opening day of the U.S. Women's National Volleyball Team Open Tryouts. There are 232 pictures. Spot the Wahine! (Maybe you'll have better luck.)

  3. Hannah Rooks and Sydney Shinn reportedly play for the University of Hawaii sand volleyball team next year, according to the Star Advertiser: http://bit.ly/15E5x1U.

    "Hannah is a physical player with the ability to detonate a set, but also has a great hand on the ball, which will leave the opponent off-balance," said UH assistant Michelle Meyer. "She has a great attitude toward the beach game and is very coachable."

    "(Sydney) wants to play non-stop," (head coach Scott) Wong said. "She's a multi-sport athlete and plays indoor and sand, but has focused on the sand the last 11⁄2 years and set herself apart as a taller, sand-only player who has all the skills. She just needs to get a little stronger, quicker and more athletic and she will have the whole package."

  14. so uhmm... my friend told me one of the UH girls from last year gave birth(her friend told her). and it's actually lizzie blake! that's probably why she asked for a release.

    1. A release usually means someone plans on transferring. Don't believe Blake asked for a release.... just took time off.
